The Texas Public Health Journal (TPHJ)

The Quarterly Publication of the Texas Public Health Association is recognized by the National Library of Congress and has been assigned the following identifiers:

All issues are included with your annual TPHA membership. Our journal is now available in an electronic format only and available online to our members through the "Member Only Page".

The TPHJ is not yet indexed in PubMed but we are working on it. In the meantime, authors of published papers may contact PubMed to find out if their manuscripts can be submitted for indexing.

Texas Public Health Journal Goals

Publish peer-reviewed articles of original scientific research related to public health topics:
- Of interest to the Texas public health community,
- Applicable to public health practice in Texas.
Provide supplemental information on current public health practice through;
- Public Health Short Briefs,
- Commentaries.
Feature public health-related articles:
- With a historical edge,
- Current Poison Control information,
- Short papers on other public health "hot topics".
Provide timely information or reviews on public health-related materials available such as:
- Books,
- Software.
Annually celebrate National Public Health Week by publishing select papers detailing community health projects.

Our quarterly publication is typically released as follows: Winter, Issue 1 released in January; Spring, Issue 2 released in April (generally coincides with National Public Health Week); Summer, Issue 3 released in July; Fall, Issue 4 released in October
